Dubai Weather

Like all cities in UAE, Dubai has a sub-tropical climate. Summers are hot and humid with average temperatures in July and August above 40 C. Even the night temperatures are very hot, averaging near 30 C in the summers. Winter months are usually more pleasant with average daytime temperatures of 25 C.

Dubai Tourist Facilities

Dubai has lots of other things to offer besides the standard tourist things. The city has one nice old city center, where you can wander through streets and admire the traditional Arabic houses. The old city center is centered around the areas of Port Rashid, Al Satwa and Deira. In the old part you will find an old British fort, dating from the 17th century. In the old part of the city you will get the feel of real Arabia, with people selling all kinds of spices and other things in their small shops. The city is multicultural with people of many countries living and working in Dubai. It has a nice cosmopolitan atmosphere and it offers something for everybody.

Sheikh Zayed Road

The most famous and most popular place in Dubai is the Sheikh Zayed Road, where you will find impressive skyscrapers and luxury malls. Dubai is also the home of some of the finest restaurants in the region. You can visit some traditional and affordable local restaurants where you can try the traditional Kebab, or other Arabic dishes. Dubai is dominated by the immigrants, with most of the Europeans clustered near the Dubai Marina, the fancy Palm Island and the Downtown. In the downtown you will not miss the stunningly high Burj Khalifa tower – one of the largest in the world. The Dubai Mall is nearby, equally impressive with large choice of stores and shops. Right beside the sea are the world`s top hotels, all of them with five stars and above.

Shopping in Dubai

Not very far from Dubai airport and near Sheikh Zayed Road you will find the popular Wafi Mall. It is built in Egyptian style and it offers plenty of luxurious things. Besides this popular mall, you can also visit Ibn Battuta Mall and Mall of the Emirates. Both of them are huge and you will find anything you may look for. Besides visiting malls you should also visit some of the best beaches in the region. Dubai has plenty of beautiful white sandy beaches with crystal clear sea waters. If you are feeling more adventurous you can take numerous trips in the desert. Seeing and experiencing the life of the Bedouins would be a great experience for anyone that visits Dubai.
