Those interested in snorkeling and other water sports should visit Chan Yu Yum beach. There are also a couple of beaches around the main marina in Puerto Aventuras, but they are made of pebble and are not very suitable for sunbathing.

There are a couple of diving schools in Puerto Aventuras where you can learn how to dive or rent scuba diving gear. You can learn open water diving or the more demanding cavern diving. There is a very nice coral reef about hundred meters away from the shore, so you do not have to go far to explore the sea. Besides diving, you can go fishing, sailing or go on a boat excursion to some interesting nearby places.

The main marina in Puerto Aventuras is the center of all activities. There you will find a few smaller shops that sell local products and interesting crafts, as well as some grocery and liquor shops, pharmacies and restaurants. Some restaurants have splendid views on the sea and you have a wide selection of International and Mexican cuisines to choose from.

Puerto Aventuras is ideal destination for those that want to be away from the large crowds, but still very close to all the activities. It can serve as a base for exploring the region or as place where you can spend a relaxing holiday with your family.
