Entertainment at the Sands Beach

The Sands Beach quite rightly prides itself on the variety and quality that it offers its guests of all ages at all times of the day and throughout the year.

For the younger guests, those aged between 4 and 12 years they have their own entertainment team which meets daily, except for Thursdays, in the Buddy's Mini Club.

The Mini Club begins around 9am has a great venue in the outside playground and more often than not will extend to further games on the beach or around the pool area.

The games have a break at 1pm when there is a special kid's lunch time menu for those who want to eat with the entertainers. Before long the fun restarts and finishes at 5pm.

For the older children the fun starts a little later at around 10.30am and everyone meets at the Mai Tai Bar for activities which include darts, bowls, aqua gym and beach volleyball. Again after a break for lunch, the afternoon activities finish at 5pm, the same time as the younger ones.

Adults are not forgotten, there is aqua sports, pool games, keep fit and family cocktail games from around noon until early evening.

For the more energetic there are two tennis courts situated on site, and each costs just 5.50 euro per hour to hire. If you fancy just a couple of games and have not bought your racket, then don't worry all equipment is available to hire locally from the reception.

For evening entertainment look no further than the Bar Soleil. It is a really great place for families or couples to spend their evening together. It is situated on the first floor of the main building just above reception and has a long bar which boasts a large outside terrace with great views.

Apart from the happy hour which is every evening from 7pm until 8pm, the bar is known for its early evening cocktails but it comes into its own for the entertainment it hosts.

This entertainment begins in the Soleil Bar at 8pm when the smaller ones can enjoy Buddy's Mini Disco and dance with their mascot Buddy until 9pm when its games time or sometimes there will be a live reptile or bird show.

Nightly at 9.30pm the Bar Soleil is the place for show time with a variety of entertainment provided by visiting professional performers or the resident entertainment team.

If you want to plan your nights in accordingly with your favourite acts then take a look on the entertainment boards in the lounge area which will give you an idea of what to expect during your stay.

For sports fans the Mai Tai offers all the main sports matches during the day and evening sports games are shown in the Bar Soleil. There is plenty of entertainment to keep adults, teenagers and children of all ages amused throughout the day and into the warm evening.
