Fun filled days for kids and teens

At Sands Beach Resort , we know that while you get down to the serious business of soaking up the holiday sun, you want to have peace of mind that there's plenty of safe supervised fun for the youngsters.

If you have very young children, you will want to keep a close eye on them so you will love our sandy beachfront at the lagoon, where they can play and enjoy the soft sand and a little guided paddle at the waters edge. Each of the 6 plazas has a secondary, small shallow pool for the little ones to paddle in so they can enjoy the water and learn to swim in safety.

Older children - more adventurous and craving for some time of their own - will find daily activities centred around the Mai Tai pool bar and restaurant. Games, face painting, competitions and more are the order of the day. You will find a full list of the coming week's activities in the reception area - plenty to look forward to!

Feeling sporty? Ready when you are

The fresh sea air is sure to put your kids in the mood for some sport, and Sands Beach Resort has plenty of outlets for their excess energy. For the more sedate, the games room below the supermarket, offers table football, pool, snooker, table tennis and more. Budding Wimbledon stars can brush up their backhand skills at the tennis court, behind La Hacienda restaurant. You may not have come prepared with tennis gear but reception can solve that one when you book the court.

It's a holiday, so why not go for something a little more testing and exciting? The sea water lagoon is a perfect and safe environment for the kids to try their hands at windsurfing. We work with one of the top professional windsurf schools in Lanzarote so they are in good hands. Our instructors are fluent in several languages and the lesson fees include all safety equipment.

After all that exercise you might expect the children to be tired out, but you will probably find they have plenty of energy left to race you to Mai Tai for one of their delicious home-made ice creams - the perfect way to take a break from all the fun at Sands Beach!

There is an action packed programme of events for small children and teenagers at the Mini Club, this service is free of charge to guests.
