Bordeaux is built on a flat terrain and it sits on the banks of the beautiful Garonne River. Garonne River is merged with Dordogne River and they both form the biggest French estuary called Gironde Estuary. Due to the fact that Bordeaux is flat, riding bikes and walking are the best ways for exploring the city. In the center of the city you will see lots of traditional mansions made of stones, nice terraces, beautiful balconies and attractive architecture which got this city a nickname “Little Paris”.

Les Quais district is ideal for talking nice long walks beside the river Garonne, or you can also go on a boat trip on the river. There are lots of nightclubs, bars and restaurants in this district, which makes it especially attractive for those seeking fun activities. Aquitaine Bridge is very attractive to see with its distinct architecture. Gambetta Square is one of the richest Bordeaux districts located in the north part of town. Public Gardens close to the Gambetta Square are perfect for spending a nice afternoon or having a picnic. Pedestrian Center is ideal for visiting all kinds of shops, cultural places or seeing monuments. Musee D'Aquitaine with its fantastic Gallo-Roman exhibits, as well as Musee D'Art Contemporain with its variety of installations and art works are two other great places to visit.
