There you will see the Lyceum Theatre dating back from the Victorian times, the Central Library built in the 1930s, and the Crucible Theatre which is the place where the World Snooker Championship is held. Peace Gardens and Winter Garden are very popular places in Sheffield where you can see many exotic plants, trees, ferns, cacti, water fountains and other interesting things. Victoria Quays, The Norfolk Heritage Trail and the Graves Gallery are a few other nice places worth visiting. Sheffield Botanical Gardens should definitely be seen and they are the best place for relaxation of body and mind. These Victorian gardens are a perfect place to escape from the city noises. The gardens are divided into several sections, such as the Mediterranean plant section, exotic trees and plants section, Rose garden, conservatories section, and many more.

Sheffield is also a home of many festivals and events throughout the year. Most popular festivals include the Tramlines – an annual festival of music held every July, Sheffield Food Festival involving cooking classes, food stalls, pop up bars, and hot food stalls in the city; the comedy festival called Grin Up North held every October, and the independent cinema festival called Sheffield DocFest.
