Sheffield is located in the region of South Yorkshire in England. The name of the city comes from River Sheaf, which flows through Sheffield. Sheffield is a very green city, with over half of the city area being covered in green space. One third of Sheffield also lies inside the Peak District National Park, and there are almost three hundred green parks, gardens and woodlands in the city. Sheffield also has a very rich sports heritage, and the city is the home of the first and oldest football club in the world – Sheffield FC.
