Hurghada Holidays

Hurghada is a major tourist destination in Egypt, situated on the Red Sea coast. Its coastline stretches for over forty kilometers along the Red Sea, and Hurghada has fantastic sandy beaches. Hurghada has a sub-tropical, desert climate with long, hot summers and warm winters. Apart from the month of January when the average temperatures are around 16 C, all other months are very hot. July has an average temperature of 30 C, while the sea temperature is always in the upper 20s C.

Hurghada Activities

Hurghada offers lots of activities for those that love the beach and sea. Here you can go windsurfing, jet-skiing, scuba diving and parasailing, among other things. There are also some fantastic boat trips with boats that have glass bottoms, where you can admire the marine life while cruising on the waters. Red Sea is very rich with life, and here you can see some amazing tropical fish with beautiful, unrealistic colors just a few meters from the shoreline. Even if you are inexperienced diver or just a beginner, going scuba diving is a must. Local scuba diving experts are very helpful and can teach you everything when it comes to snorkeling. Visiting Hurghada Grand Aquarium is another place well worth visiting. Here you will find mini zoo, fossil museums, underwater tunnels and many more. There are over hundred distinct animals, and you will see some amazing sea species from very close, such as the shovel-nose guitar shark, big green sea turtles or stingrays.

Besides water activities, you can also rent a quad-bike and go on a desert adventure in the Sahara Desert. There you can get familiar with the Bedouin way of living and try a camel-riding. Taking a trip to the Giftun Islands or seeing the city of Luxor are also good experiences. There are numerous other day trips organized by the hotels. You can go visit the Red Sea Mountains or go on jeep safaris. Boat trips to Shaab Abu Shiban, Shadwan Island and Umm Gammar Island are also popular, as all of these places are perfect for diving, snorkeling, swimming and fishing.

Hurghada Promenade

Warm evenings in Hurghada are ideal for taking long walks on the very long promenade. You will find plenty of charming cafés, shops and restaurants where you can enjoy a pleasant evening. There is a very large family entertainment and bowling facility nearby and a couple of big shopping malls. The nightlife in Hurghada is very rich and it usually begins very late at night. There are numerous beach clubs near the promenade, as well as open discos and nightclubs. Hurghada Marina is another very popular place with lots of open bars and pubs. Hotels also have their own discos and shops, and they often organize entertainment evenings for their guests.
