Sahl Hasheesh Holidays

Sahl Hasheesh is a luxurious beach resort on the Red Sea coast, located just about twenty kilometers south of the big town of Hurghada. Sahl Hasheesh is not very big resort, but its beach stretches to over twelve kilometers. There is a very nice weather in Sahl Hasheesh throughout the whole year. July and August are the hottest months with average temperatures in the mid 30s C. The winter months are also warm with pleasant temperatures in the mid 20 C.

Sahl Hasheesh Location

Sahl Hasheesh has a very good location. Situated alongside the Red Sea coast and with the beautiful Red Sea Mountains in the back, the beach resort covers an area of over forty square kilometers. The resort is very modern and purpose-built, so there are not so many significant historic spots here. However, it can serve as a base for exploring the other places nearby. The beach is the main place for relaxation, well equipped with plenty of sun loungers, parasols, and beach huts.

Hotels in Sahl Hasheesh offer numerous options for entertainment. Most of them have entertainment teams that create programs for their guests. From going on boat trips, safaris and other excursions, to playing sports, getting massages or relaxing in spas – here you can enjoy everything. Recently built community golf courses are very nice and challenging both for beginners and experienced golfers. There is a great fish playground for the kids, and almost all of the hotels have diving schools. Trained professionals can easily teach you everything you need to know about snorkeling and scuba diving.

Sahl Hasheesh Pier

Sahl Hasheesh has one fantastic Pier, which stretches over the Red Sea. It is located at the entrance of the resort, where you will find a huge Pharaonic Gate, symbolizing the ancient culture. This gate reminds like the gate of the Karnak Temple in Luxor. Other great attraction in Sahl Hasheesh is the Sunken City. This is a historic underwater city that sank a few millenniums ago. The underwater ruins are visited by the divers and they can be also seen from the passageway that leads to the main dock. You can see a large maze of different structures underwater and lots of colorful fish in and around sunken structures.

Sahl Hasheesh's Old Town

Sahl Hasheesh`s so-called Old Town is a vibrant place, where main activities are held. This is the commercial center designed for entertainment purposes. There are all kinds of facilities here. You can find many handcraft shops and modern boutiques, as well as open cafés and fine restaurants. There are a few bars here that work late at night, and there are also cinemas and playgrounds for children. Everyone can find something interesting to do in this main area of the resort. Besides Old Town, Arrivals Piazza is another attractive place. It is an open space surrounded by interesting buildings designed in arabesque styles. There is also a nice fountain here, and this is an ideal spot for meeting people or attending big events such as concerts and other festivals.
