El Gouna Holidays

El Gouna is a very popular beach resort on the coast of Red Sea, and is located just over twenty kilometers north of the big town of Hurghada. El Gouna has similar weather like Hurghada, which means long, hot and dry summers and warm winters. Summer temperatures can often climb up to 40 C. In July the sea temperature is very warm, climbing up to whopping 30 C.

Regardless if you just want to relax or go shopping, you should definitely come to the Abu Tig Marina. This place has top quality shopping outlets and exclusive restaurants. Sometimes in the summer there are yacht rallies that go on from here.

El Gouna has perfectly clean, white beaches and warm sea waters. There are also many beautiful blue lagoons, hidden spots and tiny islands with secluded beaches nearby.

El Gouna is also a vibrant, pulsating resort. Even those without much active life will be tempted to go try something new. You can go camel riding, horseback riding, snorkeling or scuba diving. Trips to Tawila Island are always popular. This quiet island is just an hour away from El Gouna and is blessed with natural beauty. There are interesting boat trips around El Gouna and its lagoons at least twice per week. Going to Mangroovy Beach near the Abu Tig Marina is advisable if you want to try kite-surfing. This place is well known as one of the best places for kite-surfing on the Red Sea. Another interesting activity involves going on a trip with Hydrofoil Submarine to the nearby coral reefs. Sometimes there are dolphins around the reefs and these trips are very popular for the families with children.
