Halkidiki Resorts

Located on Halkidiki's first Peninsula, Kassandra, and just about 85 km away from the hustle and bustle of Greece's second-largest city Thessaloniki, you will find one of Greece's premier summer vacation destinations: Kallithea. Kalithea's Enviroment

Surrounded by pine forests on one side, and lined with the gorgeous sea on the other, it is truly no surprise why Kallithea has become such a vacation hotspot. To go along with the raw, powerful natural beauty of the area there are also a lot of man-made features that add to its allure, such as one of the largest shopping facilities in all of Halkidiki, as well as numerous wonderful restaurants just waiting to send you on a gastronomic adventure, and even - for those lovers of late nights - there's a pretty active party scene.

Naturally, one of the best destinations in all of the town is the wonderful sandy beach. And while it is the perfect spot to spread out a beach blanket, plant an umbrella and just spend days at a time relaxing in the sun and swimming in the surf, there is so much more to offer, too. Such as wonderful historic sites such as the church, St. Panteleimon, which is designed in the old Russian style. There are also numerous archaeological sites that can be explored.

One of the best aspects of staying in Kallithea that it is centrally located to so many popular Kassandra destinations such as Afitos, Hanioti and even Pefkohori, which means that relaxing beachside in soaking in some hot summer rays is not the only daytime activity for you and your family, friends or loved one to partake in as there are plenty of day trips available. And if you do not feel like renting a car, there are plenty of buses and shuttles that transfer people to and from these various locations - so relaxation can always be your number one priority well on vacation.

Kalithea attracts mostly locals that come for a quick swim, but in the recent years it became increasingly popular with the tourists as well. Outside of the main summer season this is the place where most of the citizens of Rhodes Town come to relax and enjoy on the beach. One of the reasons for Kalithea beach popularity is that it offers very laid-back, quiet atmosphere.
