Pefkohori Holidays

Pefkohori is a little village in Halkidiki and is located on the Kassandra peninsula, also known as the first toe of the Halkidiki Peninsulas in Greece. This village has become one of the top tourist destination hot spots in all of Greece, both for international tourists and Greeks alike, as lot of youth from Thessaloniki flock to the town on weekends and days off.

The village is becoming infamous for its rich, crisp and clear deep-blue waters, as well as its expansive areas of lush greenery. All of which adds up to make Pefkohori one of the most exceptional naturally beautiful places in all of Greece, and maybe even all of Europe.

Nearby Mount Athos

Close by is the World Heritage site Mount Athos, which is also commonly known as Holy Mountain. This mountain is considered sacred amongst the monasteries and is draped in a long history of monastic tradition and is isolated from the rest of the peninsula, as well as the world.

Pefkohori Beach Walks

While there is so much natural beauty to take in, visitors to Pefkohori often like to do so by taking the walk along the beach all of the way to Glarocavos. This walk is not a brisk stroll, as much as it is a ventures hike, as the beach stretches out for nearly 7 km, but it is fully of breathtaking beauty the entire way, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants along the way if your adventurous will needs to be refuelled with coffee, or a bit to eat - or a traditional Greek cocktail.

Nearby Villages

Located within 15 min. of the village you will find a small town of Loutra, which is home to a thermal spa, perfect for a little rest and relaxation, with just the right touch of being pampered. And really, who couldn't use a little pampering, even when it comes to a Greek beach vacation?

For those who make the trek from the Pefkohori beach to Glarocavos beach, you will find a little bit of local adventure waiting fro you, if you so choose. Venturing a little further down Glarocavos beach you will come across and old and abandoned port, full of rotting wooden piers and sunken boats, as well as a small forest. This little ghost port is perfect for some silent reflections, as well as some amazing picturesque views and photo opportunities.

Of course, one of the best things to do in all of Pefkohori is not just walking down the beach, but spreading out a blanket and planting an umbrella on it and soaking in some of the wonderful sun and surf before heading back in-land for dinner at one of the wonderful seafood restaurants and an adult beverage as you watch the sun set over the wonderful, crisp, blue waters.
