Like most of the beaches in Malta, the shorefront and St. Paul's Bay is a rocky one. However, in many locations the rocks are smooth and flat, making them the absolute ideal place to make like your inner lizard, and spread out a blanket and sunbathe. However, there is a small patch of sandy beach located at the head of St. Paul's Bay, if you are more of a sand between the toes individual. Do not let the rocky beaches fool you, St. Paul's Bay is still the ideal spot for swimming and even snorkeling - just make sure you keep your wits about you while swimming near all of the rocks.
