Playa Blanca is an area directly located near the southern tip of Lanzarote. Although the island plays host to many tourists each year, Playa Blanca still stands as one of the largest tourist areas available on the island due to its close proximity to some of the best quality beaches and attractions for the area. Playa Blanca Restaurants, Nightlife and Recreation

Playa Blanca has ample accommodations with hotels that line the beach and go several miles inland. This is become a very flourishing tourist area and as a result you can find ample restaurants, ferry access to neighboring islands, great nightlife and plenty of recreational spots for renting equipment for fun in the sun.

Playa Blanca Beaches

Playa Blanca offers very close access to some of the most famous beaches in the area. The Papagayo beaches are known best for their extremely white sand as well as a very clear water that is bordered by Rocky black cliffs. The sheer contrast in all the colors makes for some beautiful pictures as well as a stunning afternoon out in the water. Whether you take in from a kayak, Jet Ski or floating on an air mattress you can feel like you are in paradise out in the water here.

Dorada and Flamingo beaches also offer fairly close access to some of the main resorts in the area. Papagayo is still the favored beach but these are excellent seconds if the beach happens to be crowded for particular day. Making your way through the huge selection of these beaches can be fairly easy via a bike rental or a rental car. It is important to note however that if you planned on visiting the nature reserve or trying out one of the beaches on the nature reserve you will have to pay a three euro car toll to get in.

Timanfaya national Park

The Timanfaya national Park is one of the most visited areas on the island. The tone to natural salt flats, a naturally formed and colored green lagoon called El Golfo as well as Cliffside views of the island. Visiting the nature reserve can be an overwhelming experience especially seeing the green lagoon in person. Going at sunset is recommended but the park closes shortly after that.

Many tourists also take their time to go to the village nearby called Las Brenas. This is one of the best places to capture panoramic shots of the area and up the coastline or catch a glimpse of the island called Fuerteventura off in the distance. Day trips are also available via boat cruise to this island if happen to feel like exploring further.
