Located in the south of Lanzarote, of the Canary Islands, Yaiza is absolutely breathtaking, picturesque place. Located around town you will also find a pleasantly surprising selection of restaurants, bars and shops that will all make you feel the comforts of home, all while enjoying the pleasantries of vacation. If you are looking for a more upbeat, nightlife centered atmosphere the coastal resorts located close by are the perfect destination to visit.
The Timanfaya National Park in by far the number one attraction for visitors. The park is home to the Montanas del Fuego (or the Fire Mountains). The landscape is littered with huge craters and a few rare species of plants, giving the whole thing a very otherworldly feel. The park has guided to errors, as well as camel rides through the volcanic landscape, see you can take in the breathtaking views without fear of getting a little turned around.
If you rent a car, or book a shuttle, you can take a quick 15 minute drive and enjoy the beautiful laid-back beaches of Playa Blancha. Papagayo. Beaches here are some of the most pure, white sanded beaches, with shimmering crystal clear water. These beaches are also surrounded by bars and restaurants (and a few shops) see can always refuel with food or drink in order to keep your stamina up from more relaxing on the beach soaking in the sun.
A lot of the restaurants and bars in Yaiza serve predominantly local Canarian food. However, if you want more extravagant cuisine, the much wider selection of eateries, you can also had to Playa Blancha.
So, when is the best time to visit? Truly, any time a good time in Yaiza. The winter months are beautiful as the temperatures averages around 18 to 20°, and it only gets hotter in the summer.
