Situated on the northern tip of St Lucia, Cap Estate is a great place for spending a nice and quiet holiday, for going on an excursion, or using it as a base for exploring the wider region. The rolling hills and great scenery give Cap Estate a nice charm and attract those that want to get away from the bustling resorts and crowded beaches. Although Cap Estate is away from the coast, you still have a quick and easy access to all the major beaches on the northern coast. There are many luxury villas and mansions for spending a holiday here, and the most popular beach on the island – Reduit Beach is just about ten minutes drive away from Cap Estate. If you want to go somewhere quieter, the popular Smugglers Cove & Spa and Plantation Beach are also very close.

Cap Estate has a nice weather with average year-round temperatures in the mid-20s C. Main tourist season is between January and May, while from June until December is the wet season. Cap Estate primarily attracts those seeking quiet holidays, as well as golfers and golf enthusiasts. St Lucia Golf Club is right beside Cap Estate and it has a great location in the middle of a scenic landscape. There is a fantastic 18-hole golf course which is the only one on this small island. The Golf Club has a very elegant clubhouse built in Caribbean style, a nice grill restaurant and a shop where you can rent golf gear. The views and the surrounding scenery are amazing and this place is ideal for rest, relaxation and it offers great comfort. In the restaurant within the Golf Club you can choose between several menu options including Caribbean, Continental or American cuisine. Due to the nice location and the picturesque surroundings, St Lucia Golf Club can also be used as a setting for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, private celebrations, and other special events both outdoors and indoors.

If you wish to explore more things than golf, then go to the northern shore and try some scuba diving. There are many scuba diving schools nearby where you can learn how to dive and then you can start exploring the warm Caribbean Sea. The marine life is very rich with all kinds of tropical sea species, so you can swim with barracudas, eagle rays, and other exotic fish. There are many great diving spots along the shore and several attractive shipwrecks which you can explore too.

Those interested in nature and history should definitely take a short trip and visit the Pigeon Island. It is located about ten minutes car drive away from Cap Estate, and this island is recognized as a National Park of St Lucia. There you can find one old fort dating from the 18th century, located at the top of a hill. It was built by the British to defend St Lucia from the enemies coming from the sea. From the top of it you can enjoy some stunning views on the sea and take beautiful souvenir pictures.
