Obzor Holidays

Obzor is a nice little town on the southern Black Sea coast, situated below the Stara Planina Mountains. It has a very laid-back, friendly atmosphere and is an ideal place for spending a relaxing holiday. Although fairly small, it constantly attracts tourists from everywhere and it grows into a very popular place for the visitors. Lush green scenery, fantastic beach and plenty of entertainment options is what makes Obzor a great place to visit.

Obzor Weather

Obzor is also blessed with good weather for the bigger part of the year. Months between June and September are ideal for swimming and sunbathing, with average temperatures in the upper 20s C.

The beach on Obzor is its best asset, stretching for almost eight kilometers. There is plenty of space for everyone and it never feels crowded. It is a very safe and clean beach, ideal both for water sport enthusiasts and for families with children. The beach is made of fine golden sand, and behind the beach there is a walking promenade filled with hotels, cafés and beach bars. Waters are shallow and warm, although sometimes there are moderate waves in the afternoons.

Obzor Restaurants & Entertainment

In the town of Obzor there are plenty of restaurants serving different kinds of food. You can choose between traditional Bulgarian restaurants or international cuisine. Nightlife is relatively quiet, but still good with several live music bars offering all kinds of evening entertainment. Obzor is very functional, stylish and cozy town. It is perfect for relaxing holidays and best thing is that everything is within short walking distance. The town square is the main spot of the town where you will find one large water fountain. There are a few restaurants and bars nearby where you can relax and enjoy a nice meal. Between the town square and the beach you will find a great little park, where you can rest among many palm trees. Obzor also has one pretty good Spa center for relaxation, and for the children there is a kindergarten where they can get entertained at all times.

Around Obzor

Obzor itself does not have archeological or historical spots to visit, but you can take lots of sightseeing trips by bus or by boat to the nearby resorts. The close town of Byala is an interesting place to visit, where you can walk around the harbor and enjoy in some of the seaside restaurants. Byala is just a ten minute drive away from Obzor. Another good place to visit is the Irakli Beach located south of Obzor. It is also part of a nature reserve, and the region is very picturesque. If you want to explore more, the UNESCO protected town of Nesebar is just a half an hour drive away from Obzor. There you can visit the Old Town and admire the beautiful churches and renaissance architecture.

In general, Obzor offers everything a tourist needs. It has a very long sandy beach, plenty of tourist facilities and many accommodation options. It has a great location, and you can visit most of the popular places on the Black Sea coast in just a short driving time.
