Faliraki resort is located on the northeastern side of the island, just about twelve kilometers away from Rhodes Town. The beach in Faliraki is one of the most popular and most attractive beaches on the island. Faliraki mostly attracts the younger generations, as it is a well known place for partying and has a very energetic night life. It has plenty of attractive water slides, rafting slides, lazy river, kamikaze slides, large wave pool, aqua gym, as well as one giant slide that is about 150 meters long. One section of the water park is specifically designed for little children.
When it comes to nightlife, Faliraki is a top destination on the northeastern coast for clubbing and partying. There are a couple of very popular streets full of bars, nightclubs and discos. Club Street and Bar Street are the places to be if you seek good fun and partying all night long. If you wish to enjoy a quieter evening, then you can visit some of the few quieter cafés and bars located on the outskirts of the resort.
Good thing about Faliraki is that is just 15-minutes drive away from the capital Rhodes Town. You can take a short trip and visit this beautifully fortified UNESCO World Heritage Site. Narrow cobbled streets of the Old Town offer great atmosphere and you will walk through mazes of streets filled with tavernas and souvenir shops. The Palace of the Grand Masters dating from the 14th century is a place you must visit. From Rhodes Town you can take a one-day boat trip to the Petaloudes Valley, located just over twenty kilometers south of the capital. There you can see some of the rarest black and white striped butterflies in the world. Other options for excursions include visiting the unspoiled small island of Symi, or even visiting the Marmaris resort in Turkey which is not very far from Rhodes.
