Cala Bona Holidays

Cala Bona is a small holiday resort, located on the Majorcan eastern coast. Cala Bona is very close to the bigger resort Cala Millor, which is just a couple of kilometers away. Cala Bona has one long beach separated with different barriers. The resort is very quiet for spending a vacation, but being close to Cala Millor has its own advantages. You can have a calmer vacation here, but you can always get to Cala Millor in less than fifteen minutes if you want bigger fun. The weather in Cala Bona is nice and pleasant, without too much rainfall during the year. Summer months average temperatures are standard mid 20s C.

Cala Bona Coastline

Cala Bona`s coastline is a bit rockier than at the other holiday resorts. The main beach is well connected to the promenade, and here you have the option to hire parasols and sunbeds if you wish. During daytime there is a lifeguard watch on the beach, but smaller beaches nearby do not have lifeguards. Cala Bona does not offer too many options for water activities, but you can arrange that if you go to the larger beach in Cala Millor. Cala Bona`s beaches are not that good as those in Cala Millor, but they are much calmer and cleaner in comparison to other places.

Cala Bona Activities

Activities that you can take part in Cala Bona include going on cruises, hiking, golfing or sightseeing. There a few daily cruises that can take you to some other popular resorts on Majorca's east coast. A couple of kilometers north from Cala Bona is a nice and large golf course, and in the south you can go and visit Punta den`Amer nature park and its castle. Other interesting activities involve visiting the Arta caves, which are about ten kilometers from Cala Bona. South from Cala Bona in direction towards Sa Coma there is a nice safari park that both adults and children enjoy visiting. Animals in the park are walking and moving freely, so you can watch them while riding a safari bus or in a car.

Cala Bona Restaurants

Best restaurants in Cala Bona are located around its harbor. Harbor area is a pretty good place for relaxation and watching the sunset. Around the harbor area you can also see some street performers, dancers, painters and other artists during the summer months. Here you can find quality seafood restaurants, as well as restaurants offering local Majorcan cuisine. There are also plenty of fast food chains and International restaurants. Most of them have large terraces overlooking the harbor.

Cala Bona Nightlife

Cala Bona`s nightlife is much quieter than in the close resort Cala Millor. This is more of a family place, and a place for quieter, relaxing vacation. Most of the lively discos, pubs and bars are located in Cala Millor, but good thing is that Cala Millor is just a couple of bus stops away and you can easily get there even by walking. You can find a few bars that are open late in Cala Bona, but there is just one nightclub that is not that big.
