If history is you thing Puerto Pollensa is the place for you. The city is a few miles from the oldest known ancient Roman structure in Spain. The city boasts one of the most ornate cathedrals in Spain. An aircraft museum with planes dating to the Spanish Civil War brings back memories of the cost of Spanish freedom. The surrounding mountains offer the opportunity of finding fossils that include Neanderthal remains.

Getting around is no problem. The Pine Walk slithers all along the coast and opens to the sea on one side and restaurants and shopping on the other. Bikes, motorcycles, and cars can be rented for excursions.
