Costa Adeje is the newest and brightest our resorts in the Tenerife area, and is a ripe with fancy hotels and modern attractions. A lot of money has been poured into recent developments in order to create a unique upper scale area that is perfect at catering to families and couples alike.
The area is home to high-end hotels such as the Bahia del Duque and the Sheraton La Caleta, which are two of the standard stars of the area with the glitz, glamour an ability to cater to all sorts of sons seeking travellers.
When it comes to the culinary experience you and your travel partners will be partaking in at Costa Adeje it most definitely leans to the chic side of the scale. Sure, you may be able to find a pub here there to have the keys of the staples and a pint, but more likely than not your meals are going to consist of more traditional feasts of everything from sushi to fajitas, as there are dozens and dozens of nationalities represented in Costa Adeje. The same goes for a lot of the shopping this area has to offer. You will be able to find a lot of very nice shops, but you will be paying a little more for what you find.
As is the trend with Costa Adeje, the beaches trend towards the newer side, the same goes for the facilities on an offshore. A lot of the beaches here offered adventurous tourists the chance to partake in wind surfing, water skiing, jet skiing, surfing and a few other activities.
One of the more popular beaches in the area is Playa del Duque, however if you're traveling with family and have smaller children you may choose to bring your gang to the Playa Fanabe beach which is located just around the headlight and and is home to much calmer waters - way more children friendly.
For those same families with children, Costa Adeje offers a lot of family-friendly activities away from the beach as well. Some of these activities include the waterpark Aqualand, Siam Park, bowling alleys and go karting. There is also a seven-screen cinema located within the Gran Sur shopping center that is known to play English-language films during periods of high tourist density.
If you are travelling without family, or are lucky enough to be able to take some time away (a vacation on your vacation, if you will) Costa Adeje is home to some of the best golf you will ever have the fortune to playing. Golf Costa Adeje is a championship quality, 27-hole golf course located near the fishing village of La Caleta. However, if you do not have time to fit a round of 18 in, they also offer a relatively challenging nine-hole course that is perfect for quick afternoon getaway.
If golf is not so much up your alley, you can put yourself in for some Grade-A level pampering at one of the many spas located near the resort and take in some of the signature treatments such as volcanic mud or banana leaves.
