Playa de Fanabe Holidays

Playa de Fanabe is situated on the southwestern part of the Island of Tenerife. It belongs to the wider region of Costa Adeje. Playa de Fanabe beach is often labeled as one of the best beaches on the whole Tenerife Island. The sand has a beautiful golden color and is extremely soft. The summer temperatures are in the upper 20s C, while winters are also very mild and you can still take baths in those months. The beach has a Blue Flag for its highest quality and is always kept clean. Here you can find lots of water facilities and enjoy jet-skiing or banana riding in the ocean. If you want more thrilling activity, you can get strapped on a parachute that will take you high above Playa de Fanabe – wonderful thing if you want to enjoy views on the resort and the Atlantic Ocean. There is another smaller beach in the resort, which is ideal for families with small children. Playa del Duque is also close, so you can pick between few places for sunbathing and enjoying the ocean. Just a few meters from the main beach you will find many lovely cafés and gourmet restaurants. Along the promenade you will see many nice shops selling all kinds of things, and hotels located here have great views on the ocean.

Playa de Fanabe Excursions

Playa de Fanabe is one of those places ideal for settling in and then going for a tour on the island. The bigger town of Los Cristianos is very close, as well as the lively place of Playa de las Americas. Nearby you can also visit a wonderful natural reserve called Barranco del Infierno. Playa de Fanabe does not offer wild nightlife, but good thing is that Playa de las Americas is very close, so you can go there for partying. Playa de Fanabe is ideal for more romantic and quiet nights out. Here you can enjoy the sunset while having a great dinner. You can find many forms of entertainment in the places around the beach. You can choose between different cuisines while enjoying live music nights.

Shopping in Playa de Fanabe

If you enjoy shopping then you will certainly love the open markets held every Thursday and Saturday in the shopping centre El Duque. Gransur is another place to visit if you want to buy some interesting handmade things or watch movies. It is located on the opposite side of the resort center, right across the motorway. Another good thing to do is to hop on bus and visit the old town of Adeje, located in mountain hills above the resort. That way you can experience the true island life, away from the holiday resorts.
