Tsilivi Holidays

Tsilivi is a village located on the northern side of Zakynthos Island, just five kilometers away from the capital Zakynthos Town. Families with children and couples are the most frequent guests of this village, because it offers great opportunities for relaxing and peaceful holiday. It used to be a very small and quiet fishing village, but in the recent years it started to expand and to attract more tourists. Tsilivi has pleasantly warm weather throughout the year. Average summer temperatures are in the upper 20s C, with July and August often having temperatures in the mid-30s C. September is also a nice month for swimming and sunbathing, with average temperatures in the mid-20s C.

Tsilivi became one of the tourist hot spots in the recent years due to its many popular tourist facilities, traditional tavernas, variety of shops and good nightlife. The scenery around the village is beautiful and the whole village has a very friendly atmosphere. Tsilivi has one very nice, long sandy beach that stretches for over two kilometers. It is awarded with Blue Flag for quality and the waters here are very clear and shallow. There are also plenty of possibilities for water sports on the beach. Behind the beach there is long walking promenade, ideal for pleasant walks in the evenings. Near the beach and the promenade there are a few nice beach bars and tavernas where you can relax and refresh. Tsilivi beach is also ideal for snorkeling or fishing. Snorkeling and fishing equipment can be purchased at cheap prices in some of the many markets in the village.

Tsilivi for Families

Tsilivi has plenty of things to offer for younger generations and for families as well. There is one nice football pitch for those interested in sports, a court for mini-golf, and there is also one good bowling center in the village. Close to Tsilivi is the Zakynthos` only Water Park where children and adults can enjoy different waterslides and pools. Another interesting place to visit is the reptile house. It houses over fifty different species of interesting reptiles and you can take a guided tour there.

Tsilivi Boat Excursions

There are plenty of boat excursions which you can take from Tsilivi. The most popular ones are trips to the Smugglers Cove and to the Blue Caves. Both attractions are remarkable and you will definitely enjoy seeing them. You can also go watching sea turtles or visit some remote beaches on the island. All boat trips can be easily arranged in one of the numerous agencies found near the main promenade in Tsilivi.
