When it comes to California vacation destinations, there is maybe no other city in the entire state that hold as much allure, mystery and attraction as La La Land, the City of Angels, the one and the only Los Angeles. Depicted in film and television all over the world, the city has familiar tones to it, but also has so much left to be discovered by you and your family, friends or loved one.

When one thinks of a Los Angeles vacation they may think of Hollywood, Disneyland and beaches, but there is so much more to the city than just these cornerstone landmarks. The City of Angels is also home to so many amusement parks, lots of shopping centres and more sights to see than you could possible fit into one trip. One word to the wise, if you are planning on taking in as much as possible, you may want to consider renting a car in order to make it across town to all of the sights. And, while you are at it, take a cliche drive down Mulholland Drive.

One of the most fun things you can do on a Los Angeles visit that a lot of other destination vacations may not allow for is taking in the taping of a live TV show. Being a part of a live studio audience is an amazing experience and can also help keep you in out of the hot California sun on some of those truly scorching days.

Of course, if you are looking to get in from the heat, there is also the whole world-class shopping thing that Los Angeles is known for. Since it is a mecca of fashion, you will be able to find shops and stores that are suitable to any taste and budget. Though, why not at least window shop in areas way about your budget just to get a look at how the other side lives!

Los Angeles Culture

Los Angeles is also home to a lot of American cultural history, and as such there are not only quite a few museums around for your enjoyment, but guided walking and bus tours to go on, as well. Though, it is not just the entertainment and fashion industries that Los Angeles has deep roots in, far from it. Depending on the time of year you visit La La Land, you will be able to take in any one of the five major sports in North America as Los Angeles is home to multiple Major League Baseball franchise, a Major League Soccer team, a National Hockey League team, and starting this year, for the second time around, it is also home to the National Football Leagues' St. Louis Rams, and one can not begin to talk about Los Angeles sports without mentioning the L.A. Clippers and the legendary Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association.

So, whether it is a beach, some shopping, professional sports or being part of a live studio audience you are looking for, Los Angeles has it, and has it in spades.
