Gouvia used to be a tiny fishing village in the past, but now is one of the most visited holiday resorts on Corfu Island. The village is located on the eastern part of the Island, and is well connected to the main airport and the capital Corfu Town. The distance of just eight kilometers between Corfu Town and Gouvia makes Gouvia one of the liveliest resorts in the summer months.
