Paleokastritsa is a very popular and one of the nicest looking villages on the Corfu Island. It is located in the northwestern part of Corfu, just over twenty kilometers away from Corfu Town. This village is situated below a nice green hill from where you can enjoy some amazing views on the sea. The weather here is typical Mediterranean, but the sea water is significantly colder than at the other places on the island. The nearby castle called Angelokastro is another great place to visit. This castle is built on a very rocky and steep terrain, but it offers great views on the whole Corfu Island. From Paleokastritsa there are regular buses that go directly to the capital Corfu Town. The buses also stop at the beach in Agios Georgios where you can relax as a part of your daily excursion.
