Santa Susanna is an attractive, small resort located just sixty kilometers away from Barcelona. In the past, Santa Susanna was a village of fortified houses and towers, but later it expanded and it became a tourist resort. Santa Susanna is located between Pineda de Mar and Malgrat de Mar, and it has a great location on the Mediterranean. It is situated between mountains in the back and sea in the front. That is why the sea is always calm and clear, and the summer temperatures are around 30 C.
Santa Susanna`s narrow streets have a nice charm that remind of medieval times. Here you can find many ancient monuments and buildings and each and every one of them comes with an interesting story. Some places to visit in Santa Susanna are the Chapel of Santa Susanna, which is a nice, old Roman temple. Mare de Deu de Gracia is another great spot dating from the 18th century from where you can enjoy a great sea view. The old part of Santa Susanna is located in the hills above the hotels. Parque Font del Boter is a beautiful park located a couple of kilometers away from the town`s centre, where you can enjoy different wildlife and diverse vegetation. Also do not forget to visit the town`s four towers offering a nice view on the town and sea.
