One of the parks recognizable features of the Boulevard are its easily recognizable walking bridge that passes over the central square and connects the park to the other side. The bridge spans 300m long and was manufactured in such a way that it reflects the sea below. It was made by local architect Juan Antonio Fernandez, who named it Un Mar de Sensaciones or A sea of sensations.
There is also the Playa San Pedro de Alcantara which is a long wide and lengthy beach bordered by a seaside boardwalk what includes a set bike trail and a tranquil city access road. Because the beach is so large, you will never run into issues of the beach being over-crowded. The beach is fully serviced by a Red Cross post for first aid and has many restaurants on site, because a long day in the hot Spanish sun, relaxing on a beach can really work up an appetite. The restaurants in this location are often lauded for their excellent facilities and cleanliness, which often lands then recognition from the Blue Flag awards.
If you are looking for a nice relaxing and scenic after dinner walk, the stroll from the town center to the beach front is one that is a must do. The walk along the Avenida del Marques del Duero is a beautifully scenic, sprawling avenue matched on either side by palm trees. The modern designed boardwalk is ideal for your evening, or even daytime strolls, as there are plenty of restaurants and bars, as well as one of the best ocean side clubs in the area.
