Quinta do Lago is an exclusive, luxury complex situated about twenty kilometers west from the capital city of Faro. There is one five star hotel and several expensive self-catering villas here. Villas are strategically placed apart, offering maximum privacy for the visitors. All of the villas have amazing views on the sandstone cliffs, beach and the sea. The beach in the resort stretches to over three kilometers and can be accessed very quickly and easily. You have to go over a wooden bridge to access the beach, and there you will also find a couple of top restaurants and bars. You have many options for water sport activities on the beach.

Getting Around Qunita do Lago

There is no public transport in Quinta do Lago. You can get a cab or rent a car through the reception if you plan to go somewhere. You can also book day excursions by asking the receptionist. Due to the exclusiveness of the place, Quinta do Lago has attracted many celebrities and VIPs that have bought villas here. The former Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna also had a villa here, and there is even one street here named after him.

Besides private villas, there are still many apartments and villas available for rent. However, they do not come cheap. Quinta do Lago has a very natural look, protected from rapid development and growth. It also belongs to the Ria Formosa Natural Park, and regulations forbid rapid expansion of villas.

Qunita do Lago Facilities

Quinta de Lago offers you the option to stay in the Four Seasons Resort. Four Seasons is a private members club, but if you can afford to stay there you can become a temporary member with an access to everything that the resort can offer. Each villa part of the Four Seasons Resort has a private pool and is well equipped. The Clubhouse has three different pools, one big Olympic-sized indoor swimming pool, one large outside pool and a pool for children. There you can also find a sauna, Jacuzzi, gym and several entertainment rooms for playing snooker or cards. It also has an own bar and restaurant.

Quinta do Lago is not for everyone. This resort is exclusive to golfers, celebrities and those with deeper pockets.
